Sree Puthiyakavu Bhagavathy Temple
Sree Puthiyakavu Bhagavathy Temple, located in the serene town of Thripunithura, Ernakulam district of Kerala, is one of the prominent temples dedicated to Goddess Bhadrakali, a fierce and protective form of the Divine Mother. The presiding deity of the temple is Sree Puthiyakavu Bhagavathy, worshipped as Bhadrakali — the compassionate yet powerful mother who protects her devotees from evil forces. The most important festival celebrated at the temple is the Puthiyakavu Thalappoli Maholsavam, held annually in the Malayalam month of Meenam (March–April). The festival is marked by grand processions, traditional music, Thalappoli by women devotees, fireworks, and cultural performances. The temple also observes Navaratri, Karthika Deepam, and Vrischika Vilakku with great fervor.
